Deputy Director of Nursing & Urgent Care

Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Director to support on clinical matters within the CSU providing leadership, clinical advice and professional support the organisation’s clinical teams and our CCG partners and provider organisations.Â

You will form part of the leadership team within the Urgent Care Team, with responsibility for driving and sustaining performance improvement within a challenging climate and a financial envelope. Â

Through the unique nature of the CSU’s niche Urgent Care team, you will be responsible for recruiting, managing and developing a team of clinicians, analysts and consultants. In line with NMC guidelines, the postholder may, on occasion, be required to provide direct care and treatment within clinical settings and as such you will hold registration with the NMC.

In this unique role you will also develop and foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and proactively manage these relationships whilst working collaboratively and professionally with clinicians, managers, national health organisations and local authorities.
