Software Engineer – Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Acadaca is looking for a passionate, smart and articulate Engineer with Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience to help build and support our core software products and services.

We are a ~70 person interactive technology company specializing in ecommerce,

Content Management and Publishing Systems, and Social Networking Applications.

We have created a highly-configurable, flexible ecommerce platform built on open-

source technology, and we are continuously expanding our platform. You will be

working in a fast-paced environment alongside people who are hard-working and

friendly. In this role you will be constantly learning and challenged every day.

Responsibilities

• Architect and engineer novel technical solutions for our clients
• Play a crucial role in a distributed agile team
• Consult with our clients, and help determine how best we can assist them
• Participate in requirements gathering and estimation discussions
• Review code written by other team members
• Take responsibility for project and client success
• Be a thought leader! Train and share your knowledge throughout our company
• Help to set and uphold high standards for coding best practices
• Document technical procedures and best practices
• Continue to learn and improve your practices
• Support sales calls/meetings where technical input is necessary

Requirements

On a technical level, we’re looking for someone with:

• 2+ years experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)

• 4+ years experience writing critical contributions to software projects

• Experience in multiple languages

• A passion for writing and debugging server-side and front-end code

• Solid front-end engineering skills (HTML, CSS, SASS, JS)

• Experience with web service communications with REST and SOAP

• A love for a good source control workflow with Git

• Working knowledge of standard Linux commands

• Knowledge of the capabilities of common webservers (Tomcat, Nginx, Apache)

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3)

• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and/or Extreme Programming (XP) environments

• Familiarity with SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

• A consultative approach to all aspects of your work

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or similar experience

An exceptional candidate will have…

• Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) certification(s)

• Experience with front-end frameworks (ex. React, AngularJS)

• Have a full toolbox of languages at their disposal (JS, Ruby, Python, Java, PHP)

• Experience consulting with retailers

• Experience leading software engineering teams
