Datacenter Performance Marketing Engineer

Job Description

In this position, you will be a member of the Data Center Group Performance Marketing team. This team is responsible for performance benchmarking and competitive performance analysis to enable DCG, Intel end sure field sales, OEMs and others to highlight Intel capabilities and benefits. You will be overseeing system test and benchmarking on the latest generation Intel servers, workstation and SoC platforms, as well as competitive AMD, ARM and IBM Power platforms. We are looking for a candidate that is well versed in Linux, networking, who can set up machines/clusters, compile kernels, load OS’s, configure networks and storage, run benchmarks and debug associated problems as they come along. In addition programming experience to write micro benchmarks to stress Intel and competitive systems is a plus. Responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the role, U.S. experience and education requirements.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Evaluating SoC, server and workstation solution performance using industry standard benchmarks, commercial and/or open source applications and applications

Developing test automation test scripts and evaluating key technologies that contribute to performance.

Responsible for adapting existing tests, benchmarks, and applications to the latest Intel and competitive platforms

Develop new tests or adapt workloads to test/stress architectural features for Intel and competing processors

Train, collaborate and be the “expert” to other organizations

Developing technical presentations and training for internal and customer audiences identifying key features and highlighting their solution value

Being responsible for the lab including keeping tracking of key high value inventory

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have Master’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in:
• Linux and Windows OS
• Rebuilding kernels, open source code or projects.
• C, C++, Java, Python or other scripting languages.
• Microsoft excel PowerPoint.
• At the Bachelor’s level candidate must have unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications

• Debugging and troubleshooting PC, workstation or server Inside this Business Group
