Reviews, analyzes, and develops applications for production engineering and manufacturing systems including encoding, testing, debugging, installing, documenting and training end users to utilize custom engineering and manufacturing applications. Reviews, analyzes, modifies and develops applications for production Product Document Management (PDM) systems.

Aid in planning and execution of implementation projects pertaining to PDM related products.

Client/server application development, customization, and end user support for all PDM, document management, and other miscellaneous database systems.

Interfacing with appropriate personnel to determine and maintain database, server, and application backup and disaster recovery schemes and procedures.

Maintenance of database and PDM software licensing and administration of program distribution including the following items: software revision synchronization software licensing maintenance, renewal, and purchasing, and research for software upgrades, automation, and alternative/additional software solutions.

Authoring of process/procedural documentation, whether web based or in an alternative format. These items may include all of the following: application specific tutorials, training documentation, step-by-step procedural outlines, FAQ’s, How to’s, and best practices outlines.

Interfacing with appropriate governing groups in order to ascertain database application and/or customization needs.

Assists in the specification and maintenance of records for user access regarding access level and available data for each relevant database.

Travel, shift work, and overtime may be required to accomplish some of the above tasks.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS

BS Computer Science or 6 years practical database analysis, administration, and application programming experience. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Minimum of 2 Years practical experience administrating and customizing Oracle and/or SQL Server databases with their associated tool sets in a production or support environment.

Familiarity with CAD Application Interface Programming to enable automations from PLM system.

Current experience developing Windows and web based applications and GUIs utilizing programming languages and tools in a Windows environment. Specifically, Visual Studio.net, Visual Basic, VB Scripting, C/C++, Perl, ODBC, ADO, and SQL.

Practical experience utilizing web authoring tools, such as MS Visual InterDev, Cold Fusion, ASP, SGML/HTML, and XML.

In-depth familiarity with standard concepts, practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to data/document management systems.

Intimate familiarity with relational database tools, design, analysis, and administration is required.
