Mission

The core mission of the Data Intern is to help increase efficiency in construction by gathering, visualizing and analyzing data to effectively measure performance and provide the appropriate information for managers to make strategic decisions.

Accountabilities

Data

  • Assist the Executive team by performing data collection, data analysis, digital analysis and reporting of key measurements every week on a timely manner for weekly reports.
  • Assist with analyzing and developing innovative new and/or existing process changes.
  • Manage Excel spreadsheets for data analysis to support various projects.
  • Aid in building of PowerPoint presentations to present insights from given analyses to the leadership team.
  • Assist in the development of process mapping, standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Help design company intranet and digital information flow.
  • Learns all company software to maximize use of data capture from various company software.

Clerical

  • Will design an optimizing system for filing of documents and will use it to execute filing in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develops and executes and optimized mail system.
  • Provides an outstanding first impression of service, professionalism and promptness for every person calling or visiting Lunacon.
  • Maintains office inventory always in stock, working and at the least possible cost.
  • Assists with travel arrangements.

If assigned to another Business Unit department the intern will perform the requisite duties and responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1st year completed and currently enrolled in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Management, Information Systems or related program of study.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in SQL Server, Digital Analytics, Machine learning, knowledge of data management/warehousing and Power BI are highly desired
