Credit Investigator

OVERVIEW

A Credit Investigator at EVINE has the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial results of the company by supporting the credit card fraud functions. An investigator is part of a team that researches high volumes of customer orders for fraud and payment risk plus investigates credit card chargebacks. The position requires being a confident, collaborative, and dedicated fraud investigations professional.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Research pending orders for potential fraud risk in a time sensitive manner and in accordance with the company risk tolerance rules
• Work with a well-known cloud based fraud and risk rule system plus other tools to perform verification of orders, guarding against identity theft, account takeover, family fraud, delinquency risk, and other identified problems
• Perform thorough research in complex customer fraud account situations, effectively handling all follow up documentation
• Upon mastering fraud order detection and the rule set system, learn chargebacks or risk monitoring
• Utilize professional customer service and people skills to communicate clearly to customers on order verification, de-escalating as needed to effectively perform problem resolution
• Meet department service level objectives regarding work quantity, quality and timeliness
• Work with banking institutions to attain comprehensive solutions regarding fraud issues
• Support projects and other department events that enhance the EVINE community

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 1-2 years of experience working on consumer credit fraud detection
• Prior use of fraud and risk research and investigative tools
• Proficient grounding in Microsoft Windows platform – intermediate Excel credentials
• Internet navigation skills are necessary and the ability to utilize multiple software packages
• Requires effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task
