Creative Designer/Art Director – Freelance

Live and work at the beach! We are a mid-sized advertising agency based in coastal Monmouth County, NJ. This year marks our 40th anniversary in the industry. Along the way we have built major brands, and created memorable experiences for a client base that is mostly in health and wellness industries. We are looking for talented senior designers/art directors to make our clients look like rock starts. You have an insatiable thirst for design and to find the right combination of pictures, words, thoughts and emotions to drive the audience experience. You have all the tools necessary to take your big, conceptual ideas and visualize them for clients to say….”I LOVE ITI”.

For us ( and our clients) creating experiences is most important, and then though what channels is the story told…so you need to be able to translate your vision across any and all varieties of media from traditional collateral, print, digital, and experiential design, etc.

Experience and Expectations

• Will report directly to the Creative Director
• Work across agency teams (Account, PM, Strategy, Development) to produce top-notch, cross-disciplinary, multi-channel work
• 5+ years of professional experience. Advertising agency experience preferred.
• Adept at speaking with clients and engaging them with industry-specific knowledge, and recommendations
• Understanding all aspects of our client’s products and services and be able to converse intelligently about them
• Thrive on collaboration with writers ,CD and other multi-disciplinary members of the team
• Uphold existing client brand guidelines, but also know when and how to stretch boundaries
• Be willing to travel
• Ability to convey and defend strengths of concepts and remain open to input and further exploration
• Jedi-Like ability with Adobe Suite
• While you will not be writing code, we do expect you to be able to design for all digital channels and have at least a basic understanding of UX /UI principles.
• Be comfortable working in a project managed workflow with daily interaction with project managers and project software.
• Experience with photo and video shoots
• Experience with pharmaceutical clients and design is a notable plus
