Core Java Developer- trading algorithms

A global financial firm in the downtown Chicago loop area is looking for a talented Java developer to work on their java trading team. This particular team is programming in technologies such as Java 8 to develop trading API’s and a next generation trading engine system.

As a Java developer on this team you’ll be developing and designing a new Java trading system from scratch that will support traders around globe specifically in Chicago, London and New York.

Within this institution you’ll be working in the front office although you won’t have to interact directly with traders. Communicating with traders and other developers in New York and London will take place through virtual conferences.

If you enjoy programming multithreaded applications, programming with Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, Core Java and other cutting edge technologies this is a great opportunity.

Lastly, this team places an emphasis on programming within a latency sensitive high throughput environment. Java Algorithm development, python and big data(hadoop) skills are not required but are nice to have in this role.

Minimum Requirements:

– Bachelors degree

– Strong Java programming skills

– Ability to program with SQL

Nice to have:

– Java 8, Spring, Hibernate

– Big data skills utilizing Hadoop(nice to have)

– Python/C++ development skills(nice to have)

– Multithreading
