Copy Writer (Writer/Editor)

The Copywriter position will report to the associate Creative Director and will partner closely with dynamic cross-functional teams of marketers, designers and others, all working together to bring our team’s ideas to life.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Produce memorable copy that has the ability to inspire, educate, and motivate our various audiences (internal and external)

• Collaborate with creative partners to conceive and create big, innovative marketing ideas and campaigns that can live across all channels and platforms

• Uphold our brand standards and unique brand voice across all channels.

• Take complex concepts and topics and bring them to life simply and beautifully

• Write effectively for a variety of objectives and mediums including website copy, email newsletters, digital and print advertising, blog posts, contributed pieces, and press releases.

• Develop strong relationships with our internal clients and effectively communicate their needs to the rest of the team

• Understand and incorporate organizational and creative objectives into their work

• Set and meet realistic deadlines and milestones for multi-faceted projects

Skills Required

• Previous experience as a Copywriter, preferably at an advertising agency with campaign experience

• Strong copy editing and proofreading skills (copy test may be given during interview)

• Experience writing for a brand, brand positioning, and brand voice

• Proven experience overseeing ideas from inception to launch

• The ability to accept and incorporate feedback while maintaining the integrity of the ideas

• Proven ability to lead creation of copy for a variety of audiences, brands, and industries

• Strong communication skills – ability to interface with clients as well as work with teams internally

• An understanding of visual design, and an appreciation of the interplay between copy and design.

• A portfolio featuring work examples. Must include creative branding work and marketing campaigns (online and offline)

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
