Coordinator of Recovery Support Services

We are currently seeking a full-time Coordinator of Recovery Support Services to provide overall direction, coordination, implementation, and execution of the day-to-day operations of STAND, Inc.’s Recovery Support Center – The Door. STAND, Inc.’s Recovery Support Center is a place providing hope, healing and wellness to individuals within a safe and comfortable environment. The Center is designed to assist individuals with substance use disorders who are in or seeking recovery and utilizes a peer-based recovery approach.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruit for STAND, Inc.’s Recovery Support Center staff according to contract requirements
  • Supervise Recovery Center staff
  • Oversee project operations and administration, including peer involvement, program planning and leadership development
  • Manage all aspects of STAND, Inc.’s Recovery Support Center program development and implementation
  • Oversee STAND, Inc.’s Recovery Support Center activities and supports, work with staff and peers to generate contract deliverables. Maintain a safe space for all program participation
  • Responsible for reports, proposals and other written requirements specific to the Recovery Center
  • Coordinate with peers and staff to prepare and facilitate presentations at coalition meetings, hospitals, and other local/regional entities within the peer community.
  • Develop, implement and support a process for assessing community strengths and developing goals that are aligned with those strengths. Research the availability of data gathering tools for evaluation.
  • Liaison with community groups, associations, and other stakeholders; serve on committees that promote recovery and the work of the center.
  • Attend trainings and conferences as necessary
  • Network and share learning, effective strategies, techniques and tactics with other recovery sites across the state and country.
  • Coordinate and/or develop new programs and initiatives as needed
  • Develop and support a strong volunteer program
  • Additional duties as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Substance Abuse Counselor: Certified Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CCADC), Georgia Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level III (GCADC III), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), Master Addiction Counselor, (MAC) through National Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, (NAADC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Georgia Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (GCADC II), Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (CAC-II), Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (CAC-I) with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree.

OR

  • Certification by the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse as a CARES (Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist) w/a minimum of a Bachelors Degree.

Note: Both Certifications is a plus
