Coordinator of Donor Relations

The Houston SPCA is looking to add a Coordinator of Donor Relations to their growing team in Fundraising and Development.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Generalist position within the development department

• Ensure donors receive a personal approach to philanthropy through outstanding customer service

• Responsible for cultivating possible donors, sponsors and individuals

• Will acquire support from community groups and companies

• Assist with donor data and reporting related to donor relations documentation

• Assist with duties related to annual fundraising including special events

• Conduct research on individuals, corporations and foundations for prospect activity and maintain integrity of data.

• Address and resolve donor problems and concerns in a professional and timely fashion.

• Assures confidentiality of donor information and internal communications.

Knowledge, skill and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of this position:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with donor relations in a non-profit setting

• Excellent proven customer service skills

• High skill of attention to detail

• Passion for the mission of the Houston SPCA.

• Ability to represent the Houston SPCA in a professional manner in all situations with the public, volunteers and staff.
