Our client located in Charleston is looking to add an Operations Controller to their team. He or she will be responsible for managing manufacturing and operational financial reporting, maintaining a cost effective process that provides management with relevant information to make sound business decisions.

The Operations Controller will be a member of the executive management team and work very closely with the VP of Operations and the Financial Controller, as the point of contact for all accounting matters related to manufacturing and costs.

Responsibilities

Operational Controller will be a member of the executive team, working closely with the VP of Operations and the Financial Controller

Maintain liaison between operations and finance, partnering with each and providing advice and counsel to ensure optimum performance of manufacturing operations

Maintain all job costing and reporting and execute budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting

Lead Cost avoidance and cost reduction efforts, developing reports to outline weekly and monthly savings

Develop, implement and monitor KPIs, driving process improvements and lean manufacturing concepts to build quality products at lowest cost , continually improving cost analysis transparency

Required Qualifications :
BS in Accounting or Finance

7+ years of Accounting experience with thorough understanding of operational finance

5+ years of Manufacturing industry experience with exposure to distribution and freight logistics

Strong analytical abilities and technical capability in general ledger

Excellent cost accounting knowledge and experience is required

Solid ERP and software skills
