POSITION SUMMARY

As a Web Software Developer , you will be responsible for assisting with development of a new, AngularJS web application (client-side javascript/html and server-side API) and resolving any defects related to the project. The primary focus will be to implement a complete user interface in the form of a mobile friendly, desktop web application, with a focus on performance. Your main duties will include creating modules and components and coupling them together into a functional app. The UI design/interactions will be provided, but you must implement any animations, some CSS, and the final HTML output. You will work in a team setting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver a functioning web application that meets the requirements given to you and is accepted by the Product Owner

Ensure high performance on both desktop browsers and tablets

Ensure content is responsive and presented excellently across all browsers, platforms and devices

Implementation of security and data protection

Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements

Write tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS

Submit to peer code reviews and remediate issues found during review

Coordinate the workflow between the Product Owner, Style Guide, and yourself

Cooperate with the backend developer to build the service layer

Function as a responsible member of the Scrum Team, attending stand-ups, grooming/planning, and retros

Work under the oversight of a Senior Web Developer

Report to the Web Development Manager

Perform other duties as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience – 3+ years of web development experience with AngularJS, TypeScript, KendoUI, SignalR, C#, HTML 5, JavaScript CSS3 required. WCF or WebAPI, N-Tier Applications, Git, Sql 2012+ experience a plus.

Education – 2-year or more college degree or equivalent on-the-job experience

Financial Services Knowledge – Basic understanding of investment securities and/or an eagerness to learn about the Financial Service Industry

Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills

Interpersonal Skills – Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels

Organizational Skills – Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail is required.

Responsibility and Initiative – A self-starter who can quickly come up to speed.

Teamwork – Experience working effectively with others in a team setting and able to take in other’s ideas as well as constructive criticism from team members
