Contract – Employee Relations Specialist

In an exciting and highly visible role as the Employee Relations Specialist on our Human Resources team, you will act as a key liaison between employees, leaders, HR Business Partners and our Legal team. You will investigate and resolve critical employee relations issues, and provide guidance on employee decisions that may have potential legal ramifications. You will also work with our Legal team partners to develop and facilitate training for managers, employees, and HR Business Partners on investigations and managing employee relations issues.


Additional responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist managers, supervisors, and Human Resources with effective management of performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and other employee-related issues, while adhering to company policies.
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices and policies in order to ensure appropriate and consistent application of such workplace policies and practices across the organization.
  • Proactively work with the business on highlighting key trends in employee relations and actively drive development of solutions, systems and/or process improvement while remaining mindful of the culture and values of Pandora.
  • Identify gaps in people management skills, develop and implement appropriate company-wide training and reference materials and tools.
  • Work proactively with management team, staff, Legal and HR Business Partners, where appropriate, on employee relations issues, resolving each in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist with employee relations investigations and resolutions, including conducting fact finding meetings or conversations with supervisors or employees; using judgment and knowledge of organization policies and procedures to resolve issues; writing investigative reports; and working with supervisor to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Assist with management of employee relations grievances and questions.
  • Implement best practices to promote performance, employee engagement and connection to company culture.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Behavior or related field.
  • At least 5 years of employee relations experience within Human Resources.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment and labor laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough investigations and make recommendations as required.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels, manage conflict, and exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for implementing solutions.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in relationship building at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills; must be detail oriented and able to effectively manage workflow in order to meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Highly analytical thinker and problem solver.
  • Willingness to travel to other office locations and work flexible hours as needed.
