About the Position

The Content Marketing Specialist position will support the strategy of engaging multiple vertical markets through content that provides value-driven thought leadership, raises awareness of Vesta’s market position and value proposition, creates demand and ultimately drives leads into the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing, efficient, detail oriented, able to learn our solutions and write compelling marketing content. The person will be responsible for creating various types of copy for website pages, as well as longer-form content including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, sales collateral and digital media. This position reports to the VP, Marketing and is an exceptional writer that can work collaboratively with the marketing team, internal subject matter experts, and outside agencies to generates ideas and develop/edit content that is aligned with the overall SEO strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a large variety of content assets such as: sales materials, articles, press releases, web copy, videos, infographics, white papers and more
  • Keep informed on the master content calendar of campaigns, webinars, new web pages planned, and any other content opportunities
  • Provide recommendations and execute/manage strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals general and keyword specific
  • Work with internal and external parties to identify, execute and track SEO best practices
  • Maintain awareness of competitive benchmarks, best practices, market trends, and competitive activity and create internal documentation and content to enable our sales team
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, product development, sales, executive leadership and others to produce engaging content that fuels our content marketing strategy, outbound campaigns and overall marketing goals
  • Distill complex technical content into easy-to-understand and engaging copy
  • Maintain standards of quality through proofreading and conformity to marketing best practices
  • Follow core brand guidelines to ensure integrity of the brand

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
  • Previous experience in payments or fraud industry is preferred, but not required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in B2B copywriting
  • Must be able to write exceptional copy that is clear and concise, free of grammatical errors, is factually accurate and is appealing and relevant to our audience
  • Strong organizational skills, proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to achieve common goals

  • Must possess excellent written, oral, presentation, and follow up skills
  • Sense of urgency and endless amount of creativity
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • PC proficient, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Travel Required: 10%
