Consumer Insights Researcher

The Consumer Insights Researcher is responsible for quantitative research impacting concept assessment for product and service development, including research design, analysis, model building, and reporting. Additionally, this role acts as an internal consultant within the organization for research projects performed by external vendors on behalf of the organization. This role is accountable for all aspects of assigned projects including: scope, schedule and budget; large scale projects are held to a strict schedule and quality standard as they provide corporate performance metrics and inform business strategy.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experienced with quantitative market research methods.
  • Demonstrated experience with data access tools (SQL, SAS, MS Access, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced statistical tools (SPSS, SAS, R, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with online survey programming (Sawtooth, Qualtrics, or Survey Gizmo)
  • Strong understanding of advanced analytics and methods (regressions and segmentation)
  • Track record of success in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and vendors.

Additional Competencies & Knowledge for level II:
  • Understanding of and demonstrated ability to use advanced analytics and methods (discrete choice modelling, and data reduction methods like cluster and factor analysis).

Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:

  • Consumer Insights Researcher I
    would have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Social Science, Marketing, Business, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience in analytics disciplines such as market research, trend analysis, primary research methodology development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Consumer Insights Researcher II
    would have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Social Science, Marketing, Business, or related field and 4+ years of relevant work experience in analytics disciplines such as market research, trend analysis, primary research methodology development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
