Computer Systems Developer

As a Computer Systems Developer, the primary responsibility is to develop and maintain the solution for Operations Support functions and framework for the location based solutions and related components. Thecandidate would be required to work in an agile development environment and hence would be required to getinvolved in both development and testing.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Responsible for writing technical specifications, provide design recommendations, developing applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements & interfaces.
Responsible for developing & modifying complex software systems using disciplined software development processes.
Responsible for maintaining existing code base for Java/Ruby based platform solutions and other cloud-based solutions.Responsible for solid test methodology skills and practices, excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong eye for detail, agility in picking up new technologies
Participate in the requirements, architecture and design discussions
Prepare packet capturing and analysis using Wireshark, protocol analyzers such as MGTS, etc.
Conduct stability testing; Performance testing
Responsible for devicing test strategies and test plans/test scenarios
Setup test environment and develop and execute test scripts

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Computer Science or a related field OR equivalent experience
6-8 years development experience in Java, Python, Ruby
Proficiency in working in Oracle Solaris and Linux platforms and shell scripting
Experience with developing cloud-based solutions – AWS, OpenStack
Utilize Python and Opensource/cloud-friendly tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Packer etc.) to develop framework to help build cloud-native solutions
5-7 years design and testing experience with databases – TimesTen, Oracle, MySql, strong knowledge of SQL queries.
Experience with writing multi-threaded applications
TCP/IP and UDP protocol proficiency and general Unix/Linux utilities
Experience with Unix/Linux techniques for monitoring/troubleshooting resource utilization
Experience in writing Test Automation Frameworks and Simulator Development
Experience with Telecom callflow testing – 2G/3G/4G GSM networks.
Experience with testing using Simulators, Generating test data; Analyzing/Grading outputs
Experience with NMS, LTE, SUPL, SIGTRAN, SS7, SSL, various ciphers, LDAP,XML, Schemas, DTDs
Familiarity with CDMA networks and experience with Location Based Services is a big plus
Development experience with C++, node.js, SNMP development,Jenkins is a big plus
Experience with Splunk is a big plus
Experience with Quality Center, ClearQuest, ClearCase, Perforce
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms is a plus
Networking, gateway, and firewall configuration experience is a plus
