Compliance Analyst

Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience or interest in compliance and regulatory research? Are you looking to get involved in a software company transforming the health insurance with a market-proven technology? We are looking for a Compliance Specialist either remotely or in the New York or Chattanooga area who will work alongside our Operations Team to support our business growth needs.

You Will:

  • Monitor newly enacted legislation, regulations, sub-regulatory guidance and instructions to determine potential impacts
  • Support plan/product expansions into new markets by analyzing state regulations
  • Support and coordinate day-to-day compliance activities and projects
  • Assist the team with internal audits and coordination of audit requests by Wellthie’s clients
  • Conduct regulatory research for senior members of the Operations or Product team
  • Work closely with other teams to help resolve compliance issues
  • Perform HIPAA and privacy-related compliance activities
  • Develop and enhance internal compliance policies, procedures, training and monitoring
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on matters related to compliance
  • Be a positive role model and have the ability to work independently and in conjunction with co-workers of all levels
  • Perform other duties as needed to build and grow the company

  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and follow-up skills
  • A desire to learn the ins and outs of the health and ancillary insurance industry
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • A desire to work in a collaborative open-concept office with our team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in healthcare compliance or regulatory research required
  • Familiarity with Government Programs and contracts
  • Experience working in the health insurance industry, either as a broker, with a General Agency, or with a health insurance or ancillary carrier a plus
  • Experience with a SaaS or technology company a plus
  • Flexibility to travel to NYC headquarters and additional travel as identified
  • Comfortable working with remote internal team members

Part-time to Full-time
