Community Moderator (Temporary)

Bleacher Report is searching for a temporary employee to moderate comments and social within the Bleacher Report app and its social pages. Bleacher Report’s users are passionate sports fans who are looking to engage in fun and deep debates in all things sports and popular culture. B/R is looking for an experienced moderation expert to ensure a fun, engaging, and inclusive space for its users to engage with one another.

Responsibilities:
Sweep comments within the app and social media channels each day to check for potential violations of terms of conduct.

Maintain/update list of blacklisted terms.

Maintain/update list of banned users.

Identify/escalate potential bugs/recurring issues by working with Product Liaisons and setting expectations for users experiencing issues.

Identify big wins across Bleacher Report’s platforms and present them to Product team.

Requirements:
A strong understanding of B/R’s voice and brand

Passionate and knowledgeable about sports and popular culture

Comfortable with all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. Experience with Facebook’s Comments Moderation Tool is a plus.

Willingness to work evenings and weekends
