Client Reporting Analyst

What is the opportunity?

As a Client Reporting Analyst with RBC Global Asset Management, you will be responsible for the creation, support, and production of marketing artifacts and client reports for RBC Global Asset Management’s (GAM) institutional businesses in Canada, the US and internationally. This includes the understanding and support of client reporting solutions, operational processes; using technology platforms including SimCorp Coric and Seismic. You will have responsibility for ensuring quality, timeliness and innovation in RBC GAM’s approach to client reporting, the role will be involved in delivery of client reporting, and align strategic and continuous improvement priorities with GAM’s institutional business partners. This role will work with vendor products in all phases of the delivery lifecycle as well as provide support through application upgrades.

What will you do?

Coordinate across jurisdictions when designing, implementing and supporting client reporting needs and serve as central point for gathering data requirements and working with the Data Governance Organization.

Create and maintain detailed documentation of all requirements and procedures associated with the system artifacts globally.

Gather data, produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client reports.

Investigate, resolve and communicate any data/reporting issues and analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clients.

Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports.

Work closely with all levels of end users, including executive level staff, to quickly develop reports which will be used to make strategic business decisions.

Create detailed documentation outlining report criteria and provide recommendations to the requestor based on the results of the report.

QA reports for not only coding errors and issues, but also make suggestions on data representation and learn and support multiple client reporting tools.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Business degree or equivalent work experience with 1-3 years’ experience in data analytics and reporting

Experience with reporting tools such as SQL experience and strong Microsoft Excel experience is essential. Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills required; ability to create and edit spreadsheets, manipulate data, create formulas and pivot tables

Investment management and/or financial services business experience

Strong organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and full (all phases of) project management lifecycle experience

Nice-to-have

Experience with CORIC, XML, ETL is preferred, but not required
