Digital Client Executive/Associate (Digital Strategist), Consumer and Brand Marketing, New York

We are seeking a digital strategist (AE or SAE level) to join Burson-Marsteller’s Consumer and Brand Marketing practice. This digitally savvy communications professional will play an integral role servicing some of the world’s largest consumer brands. We are seeking an intelligent problem solver, creative thinker and writer who can develop flawless social content. Applicants should be passionate and engaged social media users who understand how to implement new updates from social platforms in client programs and proactively seek ways to exceed expectations.

This is a rare opportunity to join a consumer team driving the evolution of a highly-respected PR agency. This role is based in Burson-Marsteller’s U.S. Headquarters, New York, and reports to the Managing Director of Digital Strategy and Content for the Brand Marketing practice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage ad-hoc requests for social content creation and incoming assets from the client seamlessly.
  • Ideate, produce and oversee on-brand, error-free social content across all social formats including but not limited to video/streaming video; gifs and animations; impactful static imagery; written posts; infographics and more.
  • Produce social strategies and content calendars for launch of consumer and corporate conferences and speaker events, publication of thought leadership reports, executive communications and more.
  • Implement or support publishing content on major platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Manage reporting including the collection and tracking of results using measurement tools.
  • Responsible for program execution and daily client service, including but not limited to: ad-hoc client requests, attending and presenting on client calls, developing activity and status reports, meeting agendas, plans and more.
  • Researching and monitoring client’s business and industry to maintain knowledge base.
  • Assisting in the research and preparation for new business pitches.

Required

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a digital/social role at traditional PR agency or equivalent career path in a social or digital agency . Agency experience is a must.
  • Strong working knowledge of best practices in social channels, especially Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Hands-on knowledge of developing creative content and platform strategies for major social channels.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects within budgeted time.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, experience using social measurement tools such as Radian6, Synthesio, etc.
  • Ability to develop measurement and monitoring reports.
  • Advanced understanding of key trade publications and national media outlets.
  • Professional interpersonal communications skills.
  • Experience working across specialist teams, such as Creative, Production, Analytics, Paid and with multiple agency partners.
  • Ability to handle high priority and pressure situations.
  • Client facing experience with relevant supervision.
  • Proficiency in the use of office computer programs to include MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred

  • Experience with social analytics and publishing tools (e.g. Sprinklr, Percolate) preferred.
  • Influencer relations experience a plus.
  • Experience working in financial services a plus.
  • Hands on experience of Community Management (CM) on behalf of a brand.
  • The ability to interpret data beyond reporting numbers to tell a brand’s story.
