Claims Specialist

Position Title: Claims Specialist
Reports to: FSCM Supervisor
Location: Freeport, IL

Job Summary:
The Claims Specialist will investigate and research customer deductions within established guidelines and procedures to makes decisions to allow or bill back the deductions.

Job Duties:

  • Researches and resolves customer deductions
  • Researches and resolves disposition items
  • Status reporting on customer deductions
  • Establish relationships and maintain close contact with the appropriate business unit and corporate personnel
  • Make appropriate reports and recommendations on claims problems and issues to supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by the FSCM Supervisor

    • Qualifications:

  • High School diploma minimum
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years experience in a business-related field
  • Previous experience is strongly desired in deduction management
  • Must be flexible and able to prioritize tasks. Ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of Excel; SAP experience preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with high credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Must have strong analytical and decision making skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment is required
