Opportunity


The opportunity is to join a front office product development & structuring team within Credit Trading & Syndicate. The candidate will be required to work on a range of (i) new transactions (eg. credit portfolio financings; structured notes issued by JPMorgan, SPVs and funds; structured derivatives; receivables securitizations; dynamic portfolio trades), (ii) developing new products and platforms and (iii) working with sales & marketing to promote investor understanding and use of JPMorgan’s credit platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracking industry and market developments regarding product offerings
  • Design and creation of innovative structures and products across North America Credit Trading, with a focus on off-balance sheet structures
  • Partnering with trading desks, sales and structuring to identify commercial opportunities
  • Assessing client appetite and requirements in order to tailor products
  • Analyzing and understanding bespoke illiquid assets to identify revenue opportunities
  • Identifying and solving for legal, accounting, tax and other esoteric risks within transactions
  • Working with rating agencies , lawyers, internal control functions and all deal parties to execute transactions

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the front office of a top tier Investment Bank and/or Capital Markets firm preferred.
  • JD plus experience working in private practice preferred, JD/MBA background would be ideal.
  • Comfortable working on document intensive transactions.
  • A solid understanding of credit markets and products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, diligent with strong analytical, communication and writing skills.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, willingness to be flexible and ability to work both independently and in a team.
