POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a rising junior or senior student to join our team for a summer intern position as part of the Taxable and Preferred Stock trading team in NY. The team is responsible for the management and trading of Ziegler’s Taxable bonds. The role will be working directly with the managing director, as well as, collaborating with other functions and departments including underwriting, syndicate, and risk. The team’s mandate is to create economic and intellectual support to our actively managed client base. In addition, the team is providing the Group with up to date market information and trends. A successful candidate must be able to work at a high standard on their own as well as in a collaborative setting.

This internship program is designed to help give young professionals the opportunity to gain real-world experience with hands on training at a dynamic investment bank! DETAILS

This is a part-time opportunity at 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the analysis of market’s, trades and deals
  • Assist with compilation of trading data, pricing information and bond reports
  • Assist with clean up and optimization of various spreadsheets used by the desk
  • Liaise with middle office, back office, risk management for various process-related tasks


REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited university
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, hardworking, analytical and proactive
  • Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization and be able to articulate ideas
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience with Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team oriented approach
  • Willingness to be flexible and learn a variety of new skills quickly
  • Ability to work in global and multi-cultural environment.
