CALL CENTER PATIENT SCHEDULER

  • St. Mary’s Health System, a member of Covenant Health, is seeking an energetic Call Center Patient Scheduler to join the busy Call Center of the Integrated Medical Group. In this role, the qualified candidate will serve as the primary point of contact with ancillary departments and provider practices. The Call Center Patient Scheduler will provide exceptional customer service and superb communication between patients and departments.

    The St. Mary’s Call Center serves as the liaison between practices and patients, being the primary representation of the departments. The Call Center is a high-volume, fast-paced department, answering 1000+ calls per day for St. Mary’s Integrated Medical Group.

    Responsibilities:

    • Scheduling and rescheduling of patient appointments
    • Accurately entering patient information in electronic medical record (EMR)
    • Processing refill requests
    • Answering general questions pertaining to office operations

    Education and Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Medical terminology preferred
    • 1-2 years previous Call Center experience preferred
    • Exceptional customer service skills required
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
    • Experience with EMR and appropriate documentation required; ability to type 35 wpm
