C# Developer

Wildfire Defense Systems, Inc. (WDS) of Bozeman, Montana is a unique, professional wildfire strategy and field services company with a 13-year history and a 15-western state service region. WDS serves insurance company clients, as well as a federal wildfire suppression contract (i.e., responding to federal dispatch orders). Core service areas include wildfire residential hazard assessment/inspections, an Operations (dispatch) Center, insurer-program wildfire pre-suppression/structure protection operations, and federal wildfire suppression operations.

Job Description

We are looking for an in-house, professionally oriented C# developer responsible for building applications for Android, iOS, and web, including anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

Responsibilities

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standard

Requirements/Skills

• College degree from an accredited university, preferably in CIS
• Proven work experience as a Mobile developer
• Experience managing deployments of applications to Google Play/ iTunes
• Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Familiarity with the .NET framework
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

Beneficial Skills

• Experience with the Xamarin, Angular
• Familiarity with OOP design
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as Nancy
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
• Familiarity with continuous integration
