Business Systems Analyst – Data Warehouse

Auto Injury Solutions delivers customizable, end-to-end solutions to clients in all fifty states for medical claims resulting from automobile accidents involving first and third party injury coverage.

AIS provides three types of solutions and outsourcing services: (1) Bill Review Solutions, which involve the review of first party medical claims, (2) Medical Advisory Solutions, which include nurse case management, physician reviews, hospital audits, and other professional review services, and (3) Demand Package Solutions, which involve the review of third party medical claims.

Job Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst – Data Warehouse responsibilities include but not limited to data identification, data acquisition, data analysis, data documentation, data storage, and data integration. The individual in this position will provide professional skills necessary for all phases of Software Development Life Cycle in relationship to methods for conducting data analysis. They will insure the integrity of all data extraction, storage, manipulation and analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Elicits and elaborates business requirements, both functional and non-functional, into system requirements from both internal and external customers and vendors

Understands and creates detailed mapping of data from source system to Data Warehouse environment.

Creates and updates User Interface requirements documents, workflow diagrams, support manual materials, and other related documentation.

Analyzes and troubleshoots to resolve data issues.

Assists in User Acceptance Testing and supports quality assurance and testing of new software implementation and product enhancements.

Participates in production support activities

Understands Waterfall and Agile Methodologies

Supports Change Management and Configuration Management activities.

Looks for opportunities to automate and optimize processes and functions.

Manages small projects or portions of larger projects.

Education / Credentials:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field is required.

Job Related Skills / Experience:
Understands Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry and uses this knowledge to develop innovation solutions to enhance AIS’s competitive edge.

3-5 years of relevant data warehouse experience

Expert experience writing SQL Scripts and Stored Procedures to extract data for scheduled reports and loading DW tables and data marts.

Excellent written communication skills – documentation, presentations, and flowcharts.

Excellent verbal communication skills – communicate with business partners, internal audiences, technical analysts, developers, and other cross functional staff.

Business requirements authoring/management, Workflow Diagramming, Data Dictionary Authoring; Basic Project Planning and Management.

Strong ability to comprehend business requirements/needs and translate into deliverable data artifacts.

Working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office suite of products.

Experience with Databases with expertise in creating client facing reports using SQL, SSAS, SSIS & SSRS and providing meaningful metrics

Strong data analysis trouble shooting skills in a fast paced, dead-line driven, evolving environment.

Independent decision maker with strong, proven work ethic.

Strong knowledge of Automotive Claims Industry data in general and Medical/Bodily Injury specifically.

Working Conditions:
This position will be located in the Iselin, NJ office.
