Business Operations Lead

Summary :

HP’s Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services (CREWS) group is seeking a Business Operations Lead to help innovate and expand on the team’s overall success.

CREWS manages all of HP’s global real estate assets and is responsible for planning and managing the real estate portfolio and for delivering a workplace experience that fosters HP culture of innovation and reinvention. The Business Operations Lead will report to the Head of Business Operations, Strategy and Planning (BOSP) and is key in leading and managing all CREWS staff related initiatives and programs globally. He/she will be driving the group’s overall strategic priorities, seamlessly executing and implementing CREWS’s broad agenda, and working across all functions. This role will serve as a senior adviser on several matters, including staffing, communications, program management, and administration in collaboration with leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage dedicated support services staff globally to provide consistent and seamless services
  • Oversee administrative, operational, and staffing affairs across the organization
  • Act as a point of contact between leadership and employees
  • Support the Head of BOSP and other members of leadership with annual goal setting and quarterly reporting by coordinating the execution of strategic initiatives and tracking against objectives and milestones
  • Optimize business processes and ensure streamlined activities based on the priorities of the organization
  • Support the Head of CREWS in delivering executive presentations by creating succinct narratives of CREWS activities
  • Collaborate with global leadership with triaging, drafting, and distributing various communications
  • Set agenda and execute logistics for management meetings, Town Hall formats, off-sites and other important forums
  • Strategize with business partners to develop innovative employee engagement programs (employee career path, mentoring, staff recognition, etc.)
  • Lead efforts and leverage synergies with HR, Corporate Communications, and other functions on specific companywide initiatives
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested by the Head of CREWS
  • Work closely with administrative and support staff in the COO’s office and other business units in areas of information flow

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Business or Liberal Arts discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a support or a Chief of Staff function, preferably to a C-level executive
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including proficiency using presentation tools and developing clear, succinct and compelling content for executive-level audiences
  • Strong multi-tasker an strategic thinker
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Strong project/program management skills, well-organized and a planning mindset
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and support a global team in multiple time zones
  • Positive, flexible and open-minded to change and able to work in a fast-paced environment
