BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER-SAP CONSULTING SERVICES

Join us as Business Development Manager-SAP Consulting Services selling innovative concepts and consulting services supported by SAP software, specifically in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Master Data Management/Governance and Logistics.

RE SPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means to generate interest and turn this into increased business.
  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers in the client organization.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company practice leaders.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling proposition and differentiators. Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that convince potential clients to do business with the company.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speak to client needs, concerns and objectives. Facilitate the proposal process for clients including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to reach a positive conclusion.
  • Present new services and products to expand and enhance existing relationships.
  • Attend industry functions, association events and conferences; provide feedback and information on market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Submit weekly progress reports; ensure data is entered and managed in CRM.
  • Forecast sales targets; track and record activity on accounts and close deals to achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure the prequalification, getting on vendor lists and respond to RFQ’s ensuring that they are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Present business development training and mentoring to internal staff.
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of our offerings and capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated successful experience of 3-5 years selling SAP consulting services, specifically SCM, MDG, and TM
  • Achieved sales target of at least $7 million
  • Experience developing and presenting proposals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Above average desktop computer skills with experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Bachelors Degree; MBA preferred
