Scope and Responsibility

To support the growth of our data analytics team, we are looking to add a highly skilled team member to help us further enhance our capabilities and thinking. The Business Analyst role will report to the Data and Analytics Manager with the goal of working with the team to continue driving the business towards scalability. This team member will provide validation and delivery of algorithms, statistical analysis, and reporting tools all with a focus on improving current business processes. Specific functions of this role include: strategic operations analysis, identifying performance trends, interpreting data, and working cross-functionally with other departments (Claims, MCS, and CS). Our long-term vision of this role includes supporting the Data and Analytics leader in building successful streamlined data organization and participating as a key stakeholder in the development of our data warehouse and data extraction and visualization software. This role provides a broad view of every aspect of Integra’s business and will help communicate insights to leadership allowing them to make thoughtful, informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Provide analytical support for business operations in the following areas: operations analysis, utilization management, payor analytics and reporting
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including Claims, MCS, and Customer Service, to translate data into analyses and insights that leaders can use to make business decisions
  • Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions based on elevated issues, trends, and areas of growth and improvement opportunities
  • Root-cause and solve nuanced business problems, both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Extract, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources
  • Capture, process, analyze, and share data that has been pulled from multiple platforms
  • Perform data extraction, aggregation, and quality checks from multiple sources and tables in support of trend identification and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with data extraction and visualization tools, SQL, SAS, R, Tableau and/or other data warehouse analytical tools
  • Ability to reformulate a business problem as an analytics problem, identify key drivers and assumptions, and propose thoughtful solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, or analytics-related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (relevant internship experience)
  • Natural curiosity and drive to collect insights from complex issues
  • Strong background in statistics, math and data analysis
  • Ability to interact and communicate with business leadership and make dynamic presentations
  • Effectively communicate and share data findings, tailoring communication style to the audience in question
  • Motivation to continue learning trajectory and proactively identify skills/competencies for continued improvement
  • Eager to ask questions and hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
  • Servant-leader mindset with a strong focus on the needs of Operations & Integra
  • Knowledge of health care industry, particularly within the DMEPOS space (or strong desire to learn)
