The Enterprise Business Systems organization provides global support for 18 countries using SAP and non-SAP solutions. As a team member of the Facilities, Legal and Procurement team we support 3 major customers encompassing the following lines of business:

  • Legal
  • Supplier and Performance Management
  • Product and Sourcing Compliance
  • Requisition to Pay
  • Inventory Management
  • Facilities Management
  • Engineering and Construction
  • Environmental Health and Safety
  • Industrial Control Systems

The team is located at our Boise, Idaho campus with additional team member coordination happening globally, with concentrations in Taiwan, Singapore and India. We are a dedicated group of professionals, utilizing Agile to deliver value to Micron.


Job Description

As an IT Business Process Analyst at Micron, you will be responsible for both implementing new systems and supporting existing systems for global core Procurement functions; including SAP, Ariba, and B2B technology platforms and standards.

You will use the following standardized release procedures: coordinating, planning, monitoring, documenting, testing, and scheduling in a manner consistent with department standards when applicable. You will also help align the capabilities of the company’s software and design business processes and requirements based on business needs.


Responsibilities and Tasks


Gather and formalize business requirements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and validate business requirements
  • Collaborate with implementation team (including Area Architects, Software Engineers, etc.) to determine best IT solution for identified business problem.
  • Facilitate collaboration between affected groups to gain acceptance of process changes


Configure applicable system changes

  • Analyze existing system functionality and business processes in the scope of the business need and design valued, cost-effective solutions that will efficiently function to support the customer requirements.
  • Validate configuration changes meet the customers’ requirements without negatively impacting existing functionality.


Champion system testing

  • Create, communicate, and coordinate test plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance, regression, security, etc.) and perform the role of Tester or Test Manager as needed
  • Confirm system functionalities in the production environment


Provide training and mentoring

  • Work with the IT and/or Business Training Team representative to create training materials to facilitate the end users’ application of skills and knowledge in the workplace.
  • Support teams, and the business on system changes, new functionality, new process, etc.

Support service management

  • Recommend improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes and operational procedures

Collaborate with the project manager

  • Assist the Project Manager in assigning tasks and tracking the status of action items when called upon.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the project plan, as needed, including providing hours estimates for the work required.


Provide customer support

  • Troubleshoot customer issues, on products supported within the business domain.
  • Provide guidance for the support teams by creating process documentation, and training materials and be escalation level


Education

Required

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

  • Management Information Technology

  • Business Information Systems

  • Accounting Information Systems

  • Computer Science

  • Business

  • Related field of study


Experience

Required

3 years experience in any of the following:

  • SAP

  • Ariba
  • B2B –RosettaNet, EDI, etc.

Desired

5 years experience in the following:

  • Procurement business domain

  • SAP

  • Ariba

  • B2B –RosettaNet, EDI, etc.


Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have experience working with or supporting Procurement organizations using SAP or similar ERP systems in conjunction with Ariba Suite of Procurement Solutions. Experience with B2B industry standard technology platforms such as RosettaNet, EDI, X12 is a plus.
