POSITION OVERVIEW (Starting Salary $60-64K)

The Business Analyst is responsible for acting as the business conduit between functional units (including but not limited to Operations (call center, processing, production accounting, etc.)) and technology, developing application requirements, user stories, stakeholder lists, roles & responsibilities, gap analysis as well as other standard business analyst deliverables. This position may require the development of test scripts and may be required to assist in troubleshooting end-user issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision

Perform requirements analysis – Partner with business users to gather requirements and create user stories as well as other standard business analyst documentation/deliverables as recommended by BABOK

Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, user stories/use cases, scenarios and/or other methods

Perform user acceptance testing

Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements

Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team

Assist Project Manager in managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance

Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements

Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary

Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood

Recommends program improvements or revisions to the Project Manager

Manage competing resources and priorities

Any other duties as assigned by management

. Requirements:

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required:

A minimum of 3 years experience in business analysis or a related field.

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

Advanced technical skills.

Excellent documentation skills.

Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.

A track record of following through on commitments.

Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

A history of leading and supporting successful projects.

Must be able to work within a close team environment with solid verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation and/or JIRA

EDUCATION

Required:

Associate degree in Business, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 3+ years of equivalent work-related experience

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred
