Business Analyst

Craft Brew Alliance has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst , based in Portland, OR. This position is responsible for developing, running, and delivering standard reporting on business and industry performance to all levels and all areas in the business as a critical piece CBA’s strategic initiative to improve our overall tracking & monitoring processes to enable heightened visibility into results and support the organization in achieving our collective results.

Specific job duties:

Supports the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Develops, runs, and distributes performance scorecards & reports to provide visibility into result vs relevant comparison, including:

• Vs plan or forecast
  
• Vs prior year
  
• Vs industry/segment/category
  
• Vs key competitor bench markets
  

Equips & empowers all departments within the organization with custom reports and tools to ensure they have what they need to run the business

Delivers timely, high quality, error-free reports with insights & takeaways to ensure easy & consistent interpretation of results.

Works to enhance CBA’s suite of reports in a variety of ways, examples to include:

• Streamlining the production of reports (automation)
  
• Eliminating duplicative reporting
  
• Enhancing visualization
  

Understands and leverages a variety of data sources – internal & external – to provide rich & well-rounded reports/insights

Utilizes a variety of reporting tools/platforms – Excel, Cognos, Microstrategy, and more.

Supports company efforts to align on “single source of truth” – consistent sourcing and methodologies for tracking critical KPIs

Conducts scheduled and ad-hoc analysis.

Provides best in class services and insights

Position requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or similar field of study.

2+ years of data analysis experience.

Experience in coordinating, interpreting and analyzing financial and sales data and a demonstrated ability to work broadly across numerous functional departments.

Experience in a consumer packaged goods company preferred

Experience leveraging a variety of data sources, specifically Nielsen or IRI, is preferred.

Must possess solid analytical and math skills and must be computer literate with the ability to learn and use various software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Nielsen, iDig, etc.
