Description:

Job Responsibilities * Implement build and release management processes for a java development project * Automate the build creation, configuration change management and release processes in Test environments during the development phase of the project * Work with development leads and developers to track and reports defect/change sets associated with day-to-day builds and releases * Implement Automated Deployment and Continuous Integration and Delivery capabilities * Continually track, review and improve the build and release process including increasing automation and reducing time for deployments * Setup build management process and ensure correctness of code branching and merging * Install, Configure, and Administer IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management solution * Train and mentor client and team members in Release Management process Requirements * BA/BS degree in Computer Engineering, related technical field or equivalent practical experience * 5+ years of hands-on experience in build, release and configuration management, system administration roles in Java/JEE based projects * At least 2 years’ experience in writing scripts using ANT, shell scripts or other scripting tools, proficiency in writing scripts is expected * Candidate should have a good understanding of development operations (dev-ops), continuous integration concepts and how to automate build and deployments in a heterogeneous server environment * Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication Preferred Qualifications & Experience * Experience with the IBM Rational Jazz tool set is preferred * Candidate should be familiar with source code versioning tools like RTC, SVN, TFS or GIT * Experience with IBM WebSphere application server is preferred, knowledge of clustering and server troubleshooting is an additional advantage

Required experience:

• hands-on experience in build, release and configuration management: 1 year
• experience in writing scripts using ANT, shell scripts: 5 years
