Budget Analyst

The position reports to the Director of Finance in the College of Professional Studies ( CPS ). The incumbent is responsible for the management of a portfolio of CPS expense budgets, including operational, grant, scholarship, and restricted accounts. The incumbent is responsible to forecast expense budgets, identify and resolve budget related issues, maintain expense controls, review monthly expenditures and projections with various department heads, ensure appropriateness and accuracy of expenditures, and conform with College/University policy and procedures.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. Minimum of 3 years of financial/accounting experience, preferably in higher education or non-profit environment. Working knowledge of Excel and databases such as Access. Strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail; accuracy of finished work is critical. Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the University
