Our SpringHill Suites Boise is currently seeking an experienced food handler to deliver our Complimentary Breakfast Host to our guests and ensure a quality experience. As part of the property team you will help us craft inspired workplaces that enable all Associates to deliver kick-ass guest experiences and maximize investor returns! The Hotel:

Take in stunning views of the Boise Foothills and rest comfortably in one of our spacious rooms at the SpringHill Suites Boise. Each suite offers a wide variety of amenities including separate areas for working, sleeping, and Netflix enabled 32 TVs. This SpringHill Suites hotel is also conveniently located next to premier dining and shopping at The Village at Meridian, adjacent to the Boise Research Center and Hewlett-Packard, and a short drive from Albertsons Stadium – Home of the Famous Blue Turf. Business travelers who stay with us can take advantage of our 1,129 sq. ft. modern meeting space with a capacity as large as 60 guests. We serve complimentary hot breakfast every day and guests can connect to free high-speed WiFi throughout the property. Travelers arriving at the Boise Airport (BOI) can request complimentary transportation with the front desk.

Responsibilities:

Be dependable and prompt, arriving on time and ready to work in a clean uniform and a nametag.

Welcoming and friendly morning personality.

Prepare breakfast food and beverage items and set out all hot and cold food items following all food safety regulations. Replenish all food and beverage items during the meal period.

Keep all service areas cleaned throughout the entire time breakfast and happy hour are open.

Ensure all tables are properly cleaned, and dining area is vacuumed.

Receive bi-weekly shipments from food vendor and store using favored inventory control measures.

Greet each guest and learn about their guest experience through conversations – to be measured by a minimum standard of learning three pieces of information about at least 10 of the hotel’s guests per day.

Create and maintain a pleasant presentation for breakfast.

Maintain a clean breakfast area, store food and remove all trash. Take trash out to dumpster as needed.

Continuously look for cost-effective ways to improve breakfast appeal.

Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees.

Work various weekday and weekend mornings.

All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Other duties/responsibilities:

Ensure breakfast meets all brand and local health regulations.

Maintain an inventory of needed supplies; keep all items at par level.

Comply with standards as outlined in the brand’s food sanitation checklist.

Complete monthly food inventory.

Be familiar with hotel facilities and their location and hours.

Education and Experience Required:

Previous food handler experience

Food handler certification as required by law
