OVERVIEW

The Brand Manager will be working with internal and external partners, while leading the development of communications, media and content for the Seventh Generation brand. You will drive brand awareness, affinity and business performance, in a way that delivers on Seventh Generation’s brand strategy and corporate mission in an impactful way.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the development, management and implementation of marketing strategies and plans for assigned campaigns and product launches.
  • Bring strategy to life by developing assigned communications initiatives within the full marketing mix – creative, media, content
  • Assist in the development consumer insights to develop effective communication strategies and consumer messaging
  • Track and manage assigned initiatives through 360 campaign development process.
  • Track agencies against communicated deliverables and timelines
  • Own and maintain ongoing communications calendar. Collaborate with Digital, Customer Strategy and Brand teams to ensure all communications iniatives are accounted for and make recommendations on how to best phase communications initiatives
  • Provide weekly/monthly dashboard to monitor performance of campaigns. Conduct and share campaign post-mortems with broader marketing team.
  • Track and evaluate competitive marketing initiatives.
  • Lead agenda and scheduling of weekly Integrated Communications meetings.
  • Monitor, review and report on competitive marketing activity and results
  • Coordinate with any external resources as needed (agencies, freelance, partnerships, etc).
  • Identify and evaluate potential media, content, sponsorship and brand partnership opportunities for SVG brand
  • 5-10 years of marketing communications, advertising media or brand management experience. Experience within the CPG or Natural Products industry a strong plus. Commitment to Natural Products industry and socially responsible business a must.
  • MBA a plus, but not required.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to understand and consider media investment scenarios (e.g. media plans, ROI analyses, etc).
  • Exposure to a broad range of traditional and non-traditional consumer marketing techniques/vehicles (e.g., advertising, digital, social media, PR, community marketing, etc).
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Experience working within data and interpreting results to drive decision-making. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented team player with a take charge, “can do” attitude.
  • Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Mature individual with capacity for rapid change and degree of ambiguity.
  • Creative flair and desire to work in small, entrepreneurial environment and for a socially responsible business.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
