What you will do:
You will own the design, architecture, development, and ongoing support of CareZone’s application back end. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Product, Sales, and Customer Support to fashion new business processes and solutions required to support the company’s growth. Analytical rigor and strategic thinking are critical aspects for success, but you will also need to be able to dive in and own the technical implementation. We use a variety of technologies and frameworks, including Ruby/Rails, Go, Python, Javascript, and Apex/Salesforce, and the ideal candidate will be fearless in diving in to contribute across these different areas.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications built with a variety of technologies and frameworks

Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in the development life cycle of our solutions

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions

Create and deliver appropriate documentation and communication around feature(s) and process changes to impacted employees

Partner with Design and Product Management to define and deliver the right solutions for CareZone’s internal and external stakeholders

Participate in code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure a high level of code quality and usage of appropriate design patterns

Requirements:
B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

5+ years software development experience on back end systems

Proficiency with Ruby/Rails, Python, Java/C#, and/or Go, and a demonstrated interest in learning new programming languages and environments

Demonstrated competency in SQL and relational databases

Excellent troubleshooting and design skills

Interest and ability to learn new programming languages and environments as needed

Super powers:
Experience with Javascript frameworks like Vue.js or React

Experience with microservices architecture and/or Docker

Experience integrating external systems with Salesforce, or developing Salesforce code (Apex)

Startup or similar experience in a fast-paced environment

Expert with agile development process and project management tools like Jira or Trello

Demonstrated ability to work in a tight feedback loop with Design
