Associate Financial Analyst

Reporting and Analysis

Conduct basic queries in financial information systems to provide accurate data to more senior peers and customers.

Prepare financial reports in specific subject area for internal and external use.

Provide assistance to more senior peers in developing analyses and presentations.

Under direct supervision, develop and input financial data into subsidiary and/or general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying non-reconciling items and ensuring their timely resolution.

Communication

Communicate effectively (both oral and written) with Finance Operations team members and internal company customer organizations to resolve issues in specific subject area.

Exhibit good oral and written communication skills to effectively and accurately present information and express ideas.

Display interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships through cooperation and open communication.

Business Acumen

Possess a basic understanding of the general business environment.

Interpret and identify financial transactions to ensure good business practices and adherence to contract and corporate policies.

Basic Qualifications

Generally achieved with a bachelors degree in Business Administration; Accounting or Finance is preferred.

Basic knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.

Demonstrate basic knowledge of PC based business applications and possess sufficient skills to be able to use automated accounting systems with some supervision and training.

Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
