Associate Consultant (Graphic Designer skills)

Corner Alliance, a dynamic growing consulting firm dedicated to the personal and professional growth of its team members, is looking for an Associate Consultant with 1-3 years of experience with photoshop/indesign experience to join our Washington, DC team to work at our client onsite in Reston, VA.

About the Role: The Associate Consultant will provide strategic program support to a federal government client with a public safety focus. The role is an opportunity to join a consulting team that supports emergency response communications across the nation.

Responsibilities include taking complex data and creating infographics using photoshop, indesign and other programs; conducting informed research and analyses and report on findings; collaborating with colleagues to clearly define project goals; and generating effective solutions to fulfill project needs and objectives. The person in this role will be a progressive thinker with a strong attention to detail, and a self-starter who can juggle many tasks on a daily basis.

Location: Position will be located at the client-site in Reston, VA.

Specific Responsibilities:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on relevant programs and practices (i.e., conducting interviews, reviewing case studies, federal reports, etc.)

Review and analyze gathered qualitative data (i.e., theming, sorting, and categorizing information); quantify results and present to clients and stakeholders in an easy, digestible manner using photoshop and indesign skills

Assist the contractor team to prepare for and execute meetings, including agenda development, overall logistics, and producing reports

Track stakeholder interactions and make recommendations for stakeholder engagement, outreach planning, and overall communications

Support cross-departmental initiatives, effectively collaborating with all parties to successfully fulfill client needs

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in public safety

Experience working with photoshop and indesign

Strong writing skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment by communicating effectively

Receptive to all forms of feedback from clients and colleagues, and proactive to make changes

Excellent verbal communication skills

Demonstrates a positive attitude even when faced with changes or adversity

Strong research and analytical capabilities, with experience evaluating quantitative as well as qualitative data

Ability to learn fast and work with all types of personalities

Ability to work independently and take tasks from concept to delivery

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Ability to pass a government public trust clearance

Preferred Experience:
Experience in homeland security, or public safety a plus

Experience or interest in public safety broadband technologies, emergency management, and/or telecommunications

Experience creating graphic content (e.g. slick sheets, webinars, conference handouts, direct mailings, PowerPoint, etc.)

Previous experience in consulting, project management, business writing, meeting preparation and facilitation, and/or stakeholder outreach
