Assistant Operations Store Manager

The Veterans Canteen Service, located at the New Orleans, LA, VA Medical Center recruiting an enthusiastic, highly motivated Operations Manager with strong leadership and communication skills; who is seeking the opportunity to grow and advance in a fast-paced retail/food/vending operation.Individuals will be responsible for specific canteen administrative operations, e.g., retail/food/vending/coffee receiving and administrative control. The manager will supervises assigned personnel with the personnel management responsibilities such as (conducting interviews, recommending selections and promotions, performance standards/appraisals, scheduling, leave approval, etc.) and effects personnel actions in accordance with applicable guidelines and policies. Duties also include the administrative controls, reviews, and processes relative to the operation; develops and implements local promotional programs. Oversees all Oracle inventory management/accountability processes involving retail operations. Oversees stock management and inventory controls. Assigns/oversees housekeeping and sanitation schedules. Directly responsible for cash accountability and controls.

Requirements

• 1 year food management experience in a multi-unit, Fast Food or Full Service Restaurant.
• 1 year in inventory management, supply cost and shrinkage controls, P&L management experience.
• Experience with inventory management, supply cost and shrinkage controls; Experience with Food gross, POS systems,
• 1 year experience Oracle; Vending Controlling labor costs, quality assurance (optional)
• Budgeting
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, strong leadership & interpersonal skills; ServSafe certification required or certification must be obtained within 90 days of entry on duty.
• Prefer Bachelor’s or related degree.
