Assistant Director for Administration-College of Engineering Dean's Office

The Dean’s Office in the College of Engineering invites applications for the Assistant Director for Administration position. Under the general direction of the Director of Finance and Administration provides continuity and support for the College of Engineering. The position is responsible for the management of fiscal, personnel and facilities activities to achieve overall deadlines among diverse functions and responsibilities at the college level.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree, preferably in Management, Human Resources, Business or related field and four years progressive experience in personnel/business administration/accounting with responsibility managing large accounts; or
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management, Human Resources, Business or related field, and 3 years progressive experience in personnel/business administration accounting with responsibility managing large accounts.
  • Experience in higher education preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of fiscal management, principles-budgetary/accounting procedures; personnel management; and computer spreadsheet and related software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to oversee numerous projects that span many areas of expertise at the same time.
  • Ability to use sound judgment in normal and emergency situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience working with diverse populations and all levels of a University community, preferred.

Additional Information:

PROFESSIONAL STAFF SALARY ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM POSITION LEVEL 26.

Hiring Salary Range: $41,900-$52,500. Normal Starting Salary: $41,900-$47,200
