Applications Engineer I

Position Summary:

Research, collect, and report information on the ability and capacity of water and wastewater treatment equipment. Assist in the design and development of equipment and systems, as well as the redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of the customer.

This is a sales support position. All job functions lead to increasing our bookings at an acceptable level.

Essential Job Functions

• Specification review and interpretation.

• Provide equipment functionality and capability reports and act as a technical liaison to the sales team.

• Document preparation, maintenance, and review including technical drawings and P&ID’s.

• Budget proposal preparation.

• Interpretation of basic project related calculations.

• Other duties as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Civil, Environmental, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Ability to travel (approximately 25%), meet with customers and conduct technical sales presentations.

• Strong math skills (trigonometry, geometry)

• General understanding of chemistry and physics.

• Excellent computer skills.

• Detail oriented, well organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Ability to follow through on projects.

• Prior sales experience.

• Possess a positive attitude.

• Superior Customer Service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Application Engineering of Sales related functions

• Experience with AutoCAD of Inventor

• Public Speaking experience

• F.E. Licensure
