Applications Developer

Duties: Design, develop, and deploy applications that are aligned with the business and technology strategies and meets business requirements. Support existing applications by identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner. Participate in design refactoring and enhancement of critical components. Participate in code reviews to ensure all standards and business needs are met. Engage in application performance tuning and security remediation.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (employer will accept either a three- or four-year degree) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other quantitative field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Technical Lead, IT Analyst, Computer Systems Analyst, Systems Engineer/Developer, Software Engineer/Developer, Programmer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other quantitative field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as Technical Lead, IT Analyst, Computer Systems Analyst, Systems Engineer/Developer, Software Engineer/Developer, Programmer, or related occupation in lieu of a (three- or four-year) Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires any amount of experience with the following: C#; databases such as SQL Server or Mongo DB; offering high level direction to developers on specifics and system requirements; preparing detailed technical specifications; analyzing business requirements; identifying problems during software testing process; WCF; UI Frameworks such as ASP.NET or WPF; IIS; Visual Studio; and JSON.
