Fyffes NA’s market region is predominantly domestic (USA) with some operations in Canada and plans to continue expansion in North America. Our products portfolio includes bananas, pineapples, plantains and ethnic tropical fruits. Our vision is to be the best tropical fruit supplier in North America and to do so by supplying regional and local retail and grocery chains while maintaining an emphasis on superior quality and service.

Position summary

The Application Support Analyst at Fyffes NA ensures the continuous operation of the processes supported by the corporate systems and platforms, through the resolution of application and system issues. The individual develops working knowledge of applications and the environment in which they are used, gathers user requirements and secures improvements to the current applications. Works with external vendors and developers to ensure issue resolution and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have both business / processes skills as well as technical IT knowledge. The position requires managing multiple and concurrent high-level tasks in a fast-paced environment within established SLAs and timelines. The position reports directly to the IT Director, Fyffes NA.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Gain understanding of business processes and of the various applications used throughout the organization.

· Assist the users in solving errors in the corporate applications, in compliance with the company’s service levels of agreement.

· Analyze reported errors, detecting problems or deficiencies on the current systems, diagnosing root causes and proposing solutions.

· Develop or coordinate the development of specific requirements on current systems.

· Record, track and document the problem-solving processes.

· Communicate effectively with external vendors and software developers.

· Participate in user testing for new developments / implementations.

· Participate in business IT projects if needed.

· Position may require working extended hours, holidays, and/or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

· 5+ years of experience in similar roles, including testing and user training.

· Technical knowledge and proven advanced troubleshooting on end-user services (Windows, Office 365 administration).

· Knowledge/experience in supporting ERP systems is a must.

· Good working knowledge of SQL server.

· Good understanding of business processes.

· Basics in Java.

· Microsoft O365 administration.

· Strong verbal and written English skills required; Spanish skills a plus.

· Basic knowledge of operational systems and networks.

· Project management desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 – $69,000.00 per year
