Application Developer

We are seeking several Application Developers to join HealthPartners! These individuals will join a strong team of developers providing application support, development and testing for our Membership and Premium Billing applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience/training
• Working knowledge of programming languages
• 3+ years of experience developing and supporting mainframe applications in a collaborative environment that includes business experts and other software developers
• Interest in learning new languages within a proprietary tool
• Demonstrated desire and ability to make meaningful contributions in a team environment
• Willingness to be on-call and carry a pager 24/7 on a rotating basis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MUMPS which is the primary coding language for our Cache database (candidates with COBOL, C, Basic, or similar experience will be considered)
• Experience in the health care software industry
• Experience with Web Services and SQL would also be a plus
