Position Summary

This position will work directly with the brand leadership and their direct reports to financially manage Capital projects geared at improving performance and strategic goals.

The asset management analyst will be responsible for driving the Capital Process for the Brand, while providing financial framework for projects including preparation of business cases. Development of annual capital budget, managing capital submissions through the approval process and forecasting capital spend, depreciation and write offs. This position will also be in charge of monitoring the spend, scope and timing of the projects.

Career Snapshot

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for all asset related projects (Capital requirements): annual consolidation and prioritization of all the brand’s requests, monthly forecasting of project status against plan, manage capital approval process; development of business cases and financial projections with project managers and co-ordination of various levels of capital committee review, influence outcomes through interactions with capital committee members, NewBuild, Marketing, and Accounting; work on timing of spend projections for all open projects, in-service forecasts for accurate planning of depreciation and write off calculations.
  • Drive project owners to “Project Execution Manage” through all the life of the project and provide key analytical support on business bases.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel.
  • Proficient understanding and working knowledge of GAAP as it relates to depreciation and fixed assets.
  • Strong PC skills including advanced Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project required.
  • Advanced analytical skills should include long term financial modeling and capital project management.
  • Critical thinker.
  • Commercially focused on profitability and growth.
  • Pro-active and consultative approach.
  • Able to build good working relationships with personnel at all levels located at corporate offices, international offices and local office.

Preferences

  • Post graduate degree a plus.
