Analyst – Cargo Network

Summary

Cargo revenue management is seeking an individual to lead cargo pricing for Domestic or International markets, customers and products. The individual will be responsible for the tactical and strategic management of cargo pricing and market performance working in close partnership with cargo stakeholders (Sales/ InventoryManagement / DoD /Product/Trucking).

Primary Functions:
Set pricing strategies, anticipating short term and near term demand via contract rates, RFPs, promotions and spot pricing using internal and external benchmarking data.

Review pricing requests from sales team and provide quoting using cargo tools to bench mark customer, cost and provide appropriate rates based on overarching cargo strategies.

Provide revenue performance benchmarking, analysis and communication in support of Delta Cargo revenue targets and established strategies.

Provide on-going feedback to commercial team on performance of current program pricing, proposing necessary adjustments to show revenue improvements.

Develop and implement performance measurement of revenue generating programs and initiatives through data mining, and report development.

Creation and presentation of performance reports and business case analysis, in executive level presentations with commercial/RM teams.

Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or equivalent work experience in a related analytical discipline preferred.

Familiarity with airline economic concepts, including pricing and revenue optimization is preferred.

Ability to quickly extract/analyze data, summarize results/conclusions and effectively present findings.

Candidate should have the ability to resolve problems by balancing relevant factors and grasp mathematical concepts related to flight and market management.

Must be able to work well with others in a time-sensitive team environment and be detail oriented.

Basic expertise in using the following tools: Hyperion/Brio, Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Cognos and SQL is preferred.

The candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills.

Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
