Amazon Air, Sr. Carrier Manager

Purpose
Amazon is looking for a Carrier Manager to manage the day-to-day relationship with its third-party air cargo partners. This individual will be responsible for ensuring contractual compliance along with measuring and enhancing air carrier performance throughout the Prime Air network to ensure Amazon can continue to delight its many customers. As an external-facing member of the team, the Carrier Manager should be an articulate leader that possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence performance with third-party carriers.
Responsibilities
· Ensure contract execution and compliance with air carrier
· Work with air carrier to measure and improve fuel consumption, block hours, and overall on-time performance
· Disposition air delays and determine performance incentives for carriers
· Develop performance metrics to assist with driving business results

Basic Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree

·Minimum of five years of Airline, or equivalent, experience working with third-party air carriers

· End-to-end process management experience

· 3-5 years of advanced Microsoft Excel experience

· Familiarity with commercial aviation industry regulations, standards, and guidelines

· Willing and able to travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications
· MBA; or, graduate degree focusing on Supply Chain, Transportation, or Aviation

· Strong track record of problem solving and strong analytical thinking skills, to include familiarity with basic statistics concepts and regression analysis

· Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment when given high levels of autonomy and responsibility
