Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Services Administrator to join our Wholesale Finance group in Kennesaw, GA. The Financial Services Administrator handles credit, collection, and customer service responsibilities for Yamaha dealers in the assigned areas and assists team members as needed. The Financial Services Administrator places delinquent dealers on hold and, in extreme cases, makes arrangements to have inventory moved infield, or picked up and returned to the warehouse. The FSA is also responsible for making sure dealers have adequate parts credit lines to purchase inventory, reviews new accounts for setup (within the assigned credit authority) and works with legal to ensure timely termination of dealers in the assigned territory.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent communication to sales force to keep them advised of present and potential past due, or credit hold situations. Assist Sales with account problems and enlist their help with problem accounts.
  • Answer Financial Services toll-free Information line for all dealers in the U.S., calls include answering dealer questions regarding miscellaneous charges and other items appearing on the monthly statement for which Yamaha does not create any invoice. Also help new dealers understand the monthly statements.
  • Make accounts receivable adjustments to clear erroneous charges to dealer accounts and refund any credit balance due the account. Adjust parts account credit lines when needed to accommodate dealers purchase level.
  • Review refund reports for profit reserve, dealer bonus, and month-end credit balances. Make necessary change in the system to prevent credit from being refunded in the case of delinquent or problem dealer.
  • Review credit applications, financial statements and references for prospective new Prepared Performance dealers. Decisions lines within the assigned credit authority, keeping the sales team informed throughout the review process. Officially turn down prospects that do not qualify.
  • Partner with Legal to ensure timely termination of dealers to avoid litigation and potential financial losses to the company.
  • Interface daily with the internal sales team regarding problem accounts and the collection of past due parts, unpaid disputed balances and cancelled account balances.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required, College degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business experience with some Accounting and / or Finance background strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Must possess a customer-focused mentality/approach in all aspects of the job.
